Taking the momentum of National Disaster Preparedness Day with the theme “Disaster Resilient Families, Pillars of the Nation Facing Disaster” and the journey towards the 7th Global Platform of DRR which will be held in Bali in May, YEU collaborates with other stakeholders to organize the “IDEAKSI Exhibition and Talkshow. : Idea of ​​Inclusive Action in Disaster Preparedness and Management” as a lesson on the implementation of IDEAKSI on Friday 22 April and Saturday 23 April 2022 at the Agape Building, Duta Wacana Christian University (UKDW). This exhibition and talkshow is expected to be a space to share lessons learned and good practices in developing inclusive and community-based DRR innovations.

 

The event was opened with remarks from the UKDW Rector, Ir. Henri Feriadi, M.Sc, Ph.D, followed by remarks from YAKKUM Board, Mr. Chrishanantya Tri Wardana, SE., M.Sc. and a recorded video remarks from Mr. Raditya Jati, S.Si., M.Sc. and by Mr. Takeshi Komino of ADRRN Tokyo Innovation Hub.

 

In the IDEAKSI Exhibition and Talkshow, 10 teams of local innovators were present to enliven the exhibition and talkshow session, besides,  women's group of Srikandi 04, Jodha, and Migunani showing the results of their group's production in the exhibition session. Guided by Gerkatin Sleman in Sign Language, the participants of the IDEAKSI Exhibition & Workshop sang Mars Tangguh together. The event was hosted inclusively by providing a JBI (Sign Language Interpreter) and an accessible room for people with wheelchairs.

 

The first session of the workshop was moderated by Mrs. Endah Dwi Dardhani as Director of HRC Caritra Jogja discussing digital innovation in DRR developed by Difagana DIY, KPA DIY, Ciqal, and FPRB GK in the session "Ensuring access to risk information for all". The workshop was responded by Ms. Titi Moektijasih (UNOCHA), Mr. Winta Guspara (UKDW), and Mr. Said Fariz Hibban (U-Inspire Indonesia). Responders shared experiences in accessing information in disaster situations and added to pay attention to access mechanisms, coordination, accessibility, and being linked to local wisdom.

 

The second session of the workshop on Saturday 23 April discussed the Accessible Early Warning System moderated by Ms. Sipora Purwanti from Sigab. The spokepersons from the innovator teams were MRC, Lingkar, Sekoci, and PB Palma. The workshop was responded by Ms. Reni Kraningtyas BMKG The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), Mr. Danang Samsu BPBD DIY and Mr. Gregorius Sri Wuryanto Prasetyo Utomo Lecturer of Architectural Design Lecturer of Architectural Design (UKDW).

 

The third workshop on Mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction in Climate Change Adaptation Action moderated by Ms. Wina Natalia U-Inspire with FKWA and Ngudi Mulya as resource persons. The responders were Ms. Titi UNOCHA and Mr. Surya HFI where it was conveyed that it was necessary to involve the Environment Agency for the FKWA program and assistance needed to be strengthened for the sustainability.

 

To commemorate Earth Day on April 22, YEU also held a mangrove donation where a total of 100 seeds were collected to be planted in Baros Beach, Bantul, DIY.
